Hip mobility is important for all activity, whether it is getting into and out of a car to performing agile and athletic motions on a sporting field.  Mobile and stable hips allow for other parts of the body to be more supported with decreased stress during activity.  This mobility routine works on the hip mobility while also requiring trunk and shoulder stability during the exercise.  This routine is designed to improve mobility in the hips and not to treat pain that is already present.  If there is concern about pain in the hips and lower back, then check with an appropriate medical professional.  This mobility routine can be used as a warm-up prior to activity or as a stand alone exercise for the hips and trunk.

Focus on keeping the back flat and the trunk stable as you work through as much of the hip motion as possible to get the best results from this mobility series.
